About Kim Menke
Kim Menke is a Georgetown City Councilman, business leader, and longtime advocate for workforce development and economic growth in Kentucky. After nearly four decades in manufacturing leadership with Toyota and General Motors, interaction with local, state, and federal government; Kim now brings that experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and accountability to public service.
He has served in leadership roles with the Georgetown-Scott County Chamber of Commerce, Commerce Lexington, KY FAME, Lanes Run Business Park, and the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board. Kim believes Georgetown's strength lies in its people, its values, and its future. As a candidate for mayor, he is focused on thoughtful growth, strong public safety, and keeping Georgetown a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

BUSINESS & WORKFORCE EXPERIENCE
A 40-year Georgetown resident and business leader, Kim spent nearly 45 years in manufacturing leadership with Toyota and General Motors. After retiring, he founded ProVision Partners, a consulting firm focused on public policy, workforce development, and economic growth.
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
Kim has built a lifelong record of leadership through service in scouting, church planting, nonprofit work, and civic organizations. His volunteer leadership roles include past Chair of the Georgetown-Scott County Chamber of Commerce, Commerce Lexington, KY FAME, Lanes Run Business Park, the Central Kentucky Workforce Board, the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board, and the Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center.
Why I'm Running
Georgetown's best days are ahead of us, but only if we lead with vision and purpose. We can do better. Growth is not the problem - unmanaged growth is. We need a mayor who listens first, plans, measures results, and communicates with real accountability to taxpayers. Trust-based relationships are essential to make successful public-private partnerships. I have spent my career bringing business, government, and communities together to solve complex problems, and I have a proven track record of doing so. I am ready to continue doing that work every day for Georgetown.
Like so many others, our kids left this community after high school for career and quality-of-life opportunities elsewhere. Georgetown can do better. This community and region are so special, with so much potential, and we need to evolve with the changing times. Georgetown is my home of 40 years; I want it to reach its fullest potential. Experienced Leadership and vision attract strong businesses, support growing community needs, strengthen collaboration, foster needed growth, and create new levels of opportunity. I want to retain our high school/college graduates, attract new neighbors, and welcome back home those who can live, work, and play in our old and new Kentucky Home.
